A paper permit gets lost, signatures are backdated and crew pay is calculated separately. In Business OS, the company builds its own permit type: form fields, safety measures, roles, photos, validity and measurements. A permit goes through stages, and at each one the person responsible signs — in their own name, with a timestamp and an on-screen signature.

Six ready-made types and any of your own: fields, safety measures, roles, required photos, validity, extensions and air quality measurements.

Stages and signatures
Issue, crew admission, work, completion and closing. Only the person responsible signs, and only in their own name; the server checks what's missing.

Photos from a phone
Photos are attached to measures and stages right from a phone. A shared permit can be taken on with the “I'll take it” button.

Tasks, warehouse and payroll
An issued permit creates a task for the work supervisor, materials are checked against the warehouse, and a closed permit adds piece-rate pay for the crew to Payroll.

Choose the “Hot work” type, the site, the crew and the safety measures.

Admit the crew
The crew signs for the briefing, and the person responsible attaches photos of the measures and the air measurement.

Close out the work
After completion, the permit is closed with a signature, the task is marked done and the pay goes onto the sheet.
Requirements and compatibility
The company decides the set of types, roles and required photos. An on-screen signature is an internal system mark; requirements for a legally binding signature are discussed separately.
