Casting is a shared actor database for all CODE44 companies, where each person has one number and one digital passport. Companies run castings and auditions in it, and the producers themselves verify the credits in a filmography. Actors manage their own data and answer invitations from their phone.

Overview
Casting: what it does and how it works
One actor database for all CODE44 companies: each person has one permanent number and one digital passport — profile, photos, showreel links, languages and skills, filmography. A company that adds an actor does not become their owner: other companies see only what is allowed, and contacts and personal details only with the actor's own permission. The system finds similar profiles by several signals — the same external number, phone, email, portfolio link — and suggests that a person review them; a matching name alone never merges profiles. A merge can be rolled back entirely.
A filmography credit is verified separately: by an authorized representative of the producing company or a project participant, with grounds and history; a dispute is visible to everyone, and silence confirms nothing. A company that isn't in the system yet can be sent an invitation by link, by email from your own mailbox or by notification. Import CSV, XLSX and ZIP with photos — with column mapping, templates, preview, per-row errors and re-runs without duplicates. Castings with roles from Film Production, candidates, auditions in the calendar, ratings and notes visible only to casting participants; an approved actor goes into the film automatically.
The actor's personal page by link: their own passport, privacy, credit verification, exporting their data. Release 371: an actor phone app and sign-in through the CODE44 bot in Telegram — audition invitations with “I'll come / can't make it / another time” answers, self-tapes as video files with chunked upload, notifications and replies to company requests in 15 languages.

Find an actor in the shared database or add a new one — search comes first, and no second passport is created

Upload your own card index from CSV, XLSX or ZIP with photos and check the preview

Review suggested matches: merge profiles or mark them as different people

Open a casting, create roles, add candidates and schedule auditions

Get the actor's answer and self-tape in their app, leave notes and ratings

Approve the actor for the role — they go into the film, and the organization's representative verifies their credits
