Dental Clinics

Odontogram, dental visits and treatment plans — on top of Clinics, CRM, calendar and invoices

Dental Clinics is an app on top of Clinics for a dental practice: an odontogram, dental visits and treatment plans. The patient, booking, medical record and invoices are shared with Clinics — there is no second medical system.

Dental overview for the day
Today's dental overview: visits by chair and status, dentist workload, money for 30 days and plans awaiting the patient's consent.
Overview

Dental Clinics: what it does and how it works

A dental clinic or practice in one window, with no second medical system: the patient comes from the shared contact book, and the medical record, booking, queue, examination, diagnoses, invoice and calendar come from Clinics. An FDI odontogram: permanent and primary teeth, five surfaces, caries, fillings, crowns, implants, root canals and the clinic's own conditions; several conditions on one tooth; a history of every tooth with the date, doctor and visit — an entry is never edited, only closed or voided with a reason. Dental visit: bite, hygiene, the teeth treated, procedures by tooth and surface; the service goes onto the clinic invoice. Treatment plan: stages with a service, tooth, price, provider and date, statuses by rules — draft, patient consent with a document in the medical record, in progress, paused, completed; a stage is completed only by a dentist's procedure during a visit, not by a booking or payment; a stage is booked into a chair with no double booking.

Area-based permissions: dentist, assistant, consent, finance, manager; the finance person doesn't see the odontogram, and reception can't change clinical records. Every opening of a record goes into the clinic log. Overview: today's visits, plans, stages, doctor workload, revenue.

How it works

How to use it, step by step

  1. 1

Connect Clinics and mark the dentists, chairs and dental services

  2. 2

Open the patient's record and mark the state of the teeth on the odontogram

  3. 3

Draw up a treatment plan with stages and prices and record the patient's consent

  4. 4

Book a stage into a chair with the right doctor

  5. 5

During the visit, perform the stage's procedure — the service goes onto the invoice and the stage closes

  6. 6

Track visits, plans and doctor workload in the overview

Features

What you can do

  • FDI odontogram: permanent and primary teeth and mixed dentition, five tooth surfaces
  • 15 built-in conditions — caries, filling, crown, implant, root canal and more — plus the clinic's own conditions
  • Several conditions on one tooth; caries can't be recorded on a missing tooth
  • Entries are never edited: they are closed or voided with a reason and stay in the history with their author
  • A history of every tooth: date, doctor, visit, procedures and plan stages
  • Print the tooth chart with a table of entries
  • Dental visit: bite, hygiene, dental status, ICD-10 diagnoses, procedures by tooth and surface
  • A procedure adds the service to the visit, and Invoices issues the invoice when the visit is finished
  • A treatment plan with stages: service, tooth, price, provider, date
  • Plan statuses by rules: draft, consent, in progress, paused, completed, cancelled
  • Patient consent — on paper, as a document or verbally: a log entry and a document in the medical record
  • A stage is completed only by a procedure during a visit; a stage is booked into a chair with no double booking
  • Area-based permissions: dentist, assistant, consent, finance, manager; the finance person doesn't see the odontogram
  • Overview: today's visits, plans and stages, dentist workload, money for 30 days, frequent procedures

Not connected yet

We are honest about what works only with an external provider or is still planned:

  • Attachments and images in the dental visit are not available yet
  • There is no patient electronic signature — consent is recorded in the log
  • The odontogram can be printed but not saved as a document in the medical record
  • There is no dental report with a period selector — the overview covers 30 days
