Construction sites: stages, work and quantities, participants, materials, money and issues in one place
Learn more about the appSite contractors: a register with qualifications and ratings, assignments to sites, stages and work, a contractor portal
A contractor is an organization from the shared Contacts book; there is no separate company database, and one contractor on many sites remains a single record. Company register: specializations, status (approved, under review, suspended, blacklisted — a suspended or blacklisted contractor can’t be assigned, a reason is required), ratings by site and notes.
Card: the organization and its people from the book, contractor staff with positions and roles, clearances, qualifications, licenses and insurance with expiry dates (expiring and overdue ones are highlighted, a nightly sweep reminds managers), contracts and assigned documents linked to CRM deals and Business Office documents, sites, assigned work, completion certificates from the contractor in the core, and invoices — only for those with finance rights. Assignment to a site, stage or work: participation in the site is created or found in the core from the book record (no duplicates), the organization is set on the stage and the work, and the contractor’s price is only for those with finance rights; an assignment has dates, an owner, a contract, a scope of work, a status and a readiness that is calculated from the core’s work quantities.
Contractor people with access are company employees, invited the usual way and added to the site with the “Contractor” role and their own organization; there is no separate login. “My portal” for a contractor’s person: only their sites, work, tasks, documents and drawings assigned to them, inspections, defects and passes from neighboring apps; they accept or decline work, log the quantity done (it goes to the core, and its manager accepts it), attach photos and documents, report a problem (a task for the project manager and a notification) and submit work for inspection (an event for “Quality” and a notification to quality engineers). A contractor never sees other people’s contracts, money or internal documents — the server enforces this, not hidden buttons. When participation in a site ends, the app shows warnings (open assignments, active passes of the contractor’s people, supplied by “Site Passes”), but doesn’t block anyone itself.
What it doesn’t do: check clearances against government registries, give a legal review of contracts, or take online payments to contractors.
